“Redeemed, how I love to proclaim it,
redeemed by the blood of the lamb.
Redeemed, through His infinite mercy,
His child and forever I am.”
Those glorious words by the great hymn-writer, Fanny Crosby, reverberate through my soul as I write today, having just started teaching a Bible study about the very subject contained therein. Redemption.
I am so thankful that God loved me enough to redeem me– sending his Son, Jesus Christ, to die for me.
I am overwhelmed by the fact that he not only saved me, but continues to sanctify me, day-by-day– molding and shaping me like clay, into a child who more closely resembles him. He uses every experience, mistake and encounter to grow and refine me–ever sculpting, ever polishing…mercifully, never leaving me completely to my own devices.
And finally, I am in awe of the fact that one day, according to the Bible, I will be fully and finally redeemed when I see Him face-to-face in glory. The final, polished, finished product of His redemption.
Please be in prayer for the other ladies and I in our little Bible study as we dive deeper into what it means to be redeemed. Thank you, Angela Thomas-Pharr for following the leading of God in writing this life-changing Bible study: Redeemed-Grace to Live Every Day Better Than Before. Looking forward to the great things God has planned for us!
